38 Weeks

These kids love playing together. Lately they’ve been making a lot of forts with sheets and clothes bins! We’ve reached a new milestone here! All of the boys now know how to make their beds, including putting clean sheets on the beds! Woo hoo!  This picture was taken Sunday night in the parking lot at the gym. I’m still going to the gym at 38 weeks pregnant & when it’s 17 degrees outside. Thank you, Jesus! Monday, MLK Day, my creative boy made snow cones for everyone. After sledding and snow cones outside hey all came in to have hot cocoa!🤪 Wednesday was spent helping hubby make the books for small group! Bella...yes, she’s still around!  My amazing volunteers helping Mr. Collin at church!

Sunday Serving, Arby’s & 37 Weeks

Snow

She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household , For all her household is clothed with scarlet. Proverbs 31:20-21 I sit here watching the snow fall. We have enjoyed an amazingly warm & unusually sunny winter so far. Today, winter has come. And, it’s hard for me to get too excited about it.  But, there are always reasons to praise...always reasons to praise! 1. It’s a reason stay inside and get some things done! 2. It’s beautiful to look at 3. Even though it’s a dreary day, the sun brightens things up! 4. The kids get excited about sledding & building snowmen (I can stay inside and watch them having fun!) 5. I can enjoy the cold at 38 weeks pregnant because the cold helps bring my swelling down. 6. I don’t like not being able to walk out in it, but I have a Planet Fitness membership! I will continue to rejoice always, look for the good, & praise! I will not be afraid of the snow! I will rejoice! Runn

Walking Backwards

As I wait for this baby, I will praise...focusing on God’s goodness & provision always. Rest in the truth that God knows exactly when this baby needs to come and will make it clear when I need to go to the hospital. Knowing that I have the Group B Strep virus makes it a little tricky because I have to go in four hours before giving birth so that I can have the antibiotics. But, God knows this! He will lead, my only job is to listen to Him! I read in Dr. Kinlaw’s devotional this morning that the Hebrews’ idea of the future was that it was behind them. They walked backwards into the future. Walking into the future with a remembrance of the past. Remembering God’s provision along the way. I want to live like that! That is my word for the year. BACKWARDS. Such a funny word, but it says exactly how I want to live. My hand in God’s, with my eyes on him, not on the future, but how He’s taken care of me in the past! There are so many things I can point to as I ponder the provision of God.

An Overwhelming Surprise

My Mojo is Back

The last week has been very hard. After Mom & Dad left and then spending a day in the hospital I started to get very antsy about having this boy! Today, by the grace of God, I woke up with a new mindset & resolve to press on & step out of my funk & walk in praise and thanksgiving. So, from here on out, I’m focusing on the Word, Walking, Water, & Weight! Spending time in the Word daily, walking everyday, drinking a ton of water, & watching what I eat for the sake of my weight. I want to stay strong & healthy for this baby & the labor that awaits me! I’m going to enjoy these last few weeks and focus on praise. This has been a great pregnancy and I am so thankful. I still feel good! Praise Jesus!  So, I wait with a sparkle... Heather Leigh
